SATURDAYINDESIGN;
First ever in Singapore. Went with some others, my first ever time to visit this type of events. & this have just raise my interest in gg for more of such things. The exhibits is place all over the red dot, so we didn't really manage to finish it all, but manage to capture many great shots.

Haha, Yunhi have just show everyone that you do not need a DSLR to capture great pictures, you just need a normal compact camera. Above was one of her shots.
Below was a convertible chair, which is able to transform to different shapes for different seating position. & this was name 'Floor Runner' because it looks like one. Its very comfortable by the way, and you can rock it.
Below: a exhibit abstracting the element of a scaffolding
This was called the family potrait, and featured 2 sofas. What's interesting was, it does look comfortable at first sight right, alright believe it, it is just a perception, cos it felt like a rock when we sat on it.

This was one the exhibit, whose concept, the way it carries it idea, really draws my attention. There is a video on why this is done and made. It was came up by penguin books. Penguin books is a book publisher
They spotted that people, in such a fast paced environment, have long lost the act of picking a book and read. & they wanted to get back to how it started, how people started reading. & so it went back to the alphabets which form words and later forms stories which will be publish into books. So with the shape of the alphabets, it is made into wood pieces, which placed together forms: tables, chairs, lamps, shelves.

A lamp, form wiht the alphabets 'L' 'A' 'M' 'P'
A chair.
Some other fantastic pictures taken. Really enjoyed myself. & the people were the ones who made me dread school. Simply had too much fun.
So it went all over Singapore, in fact they have done all over the globe. They set this tables and chairs up all over the island, without any posters or instructions. & it just drew crowds over to sit on the chairs and started reading. Amazing isn't it, the idea. It brought people back to reading.
